While vacationing in Honolulu, we were craving Indian food and decided to try Namaste Indian and Nepalese Cuisine, thanks to its strong Yelp reviews and convenient location near Waikiki Beach—and it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and seated right away. We were offered water promptly, and what really stood out was that the owner herself came over to take our order. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Instead of the usual dishes we order at Indian restaurants, she encouraged us to try something different—and confidently assured us we wouldn’t be disappointed. She was right. Every dish we ordered was flavorful, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. The food exceeded our expectations, and the overall experience—from service to atmosphere—was excellent. If we’re in Honolulu and craving Indian food again, this will definitely be our go-to spot. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Waikiki and looking for authentic, delicious Indian and Nepalese cuisine ???????????????? Pro tip: Trust the owner’s recommendations—you’ll be glad you did!

We visited this restaurant and were immediately impressed by the warm atmosphere and delicious food. The service was truly top-notch. We tried the tandoori wings, Nepali momo, butter naan, and chicken tikka — and every single dish was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. I highly recommend visiting this place to experience their amazing hospitality and the wonderful taste of their food!

An outstanding halal restaurant with curry flavours exceptional with wonderful starters. Came to Hawaii for a conference with colleagues and we ate there 3 times in a week. Lamb curry and korma, chicken, prawn and lamb Kadahi were some of the dishes ordered as well as a tofu curry. We had starters such as chicken wings samosas, momos paokoras and cannot fault "any" of them. You can ask for how spicy you would like so we went for spicy that is definitely like a madras hot but the medium was a great option for a warming spice level. We did not go for mild. I suspect if you go for a vindaloo it will be hot! Rice was ordered and you basically got a top up whenever you wanted that was inclusive of the price. Nans and rotis were not to doughy ans had a nice crisp to them without being dry. My absolute favourite was the Kadahi that was like a typical Jhalfrezi. For Hawaii that so super expensive, this was surprisingly good value at around $35 so £25. You may have to wait at busy times so please wait, it will be worth it. Staff are lovely and I highly recommend this. It is very authentic and worth the visit. You can tell by locals from South Asian were eating there.

This is my first Christmas holiday trip to Hawaii to escape the cold. Last night we went to a restaurant but couldn't wait because the line was too long. Tonight we came back earlier to wait and have dinner. After an hour, we finally got our food. The restaurant doesn't take reservations, so you just have to wait patiently. The food was delicious. We ate everything.

Outstanding Indian and Nepalese food. Also wonderful vegan options and option to make a few vegetarian dishes vegan! They can also customize the spice level. Be prepared to wait for up to 30mins on busy days because this place is popular especially for dinner. Despite this we have never seen them bring out food in a hurry - it always tastes delicious and they make sure it is perfectly cooked!

Soul soothing food. Blending Indian and Nepalese spices beautifully. We ordered the lamb, momos, and malai chicken. Everything was seasoned precisely and exceptionally. The staff was very kind and the owner Kamala took great care of us. The space is new so wip but it makes up for it 10x with the taste and service.

A must visit spot to satisfy Indian food cravings! We ordered tandoori roti and it truly tasted like authentic whole wheat roti (not naan), freshly made. Garlic naan is also freshly made. The kadhai paneer, samosa chaat, and vegetable biryani were all flavorful and well prepared. Each curry comes with a complimentary serving of rice, which is a nice touch. The service is fast, attentive, and friendly, and the food has an authentic, homestyle taste.
